With swarming you should outnumber your opponent most of the time, especially if you can get riotous rookies as well.Īnd with stunty/itchy you can go just about wherever you want with inpunity, and Dodge/Sidestep can make them surprisingly tricky to get down or out of the way, especially if your opponent doesn't have Block. A couple of bribes can keep the pump wagons on for most of the game. If you've got 2 trolls, 2 pumps, that's 4x (very unreliable) ST5 pieces. You are going to need to foul whenever possible since every trade is a good trade when your players only cost 15k.įrankly it will take a miracle to win against a halfway decent opponent using just what you get in the box unless you are an experienced player, however this doesn't mean they can't be fun to play! I recommend going into games with them with the mindset that a single touchdown is a moral victory, and every injury you inflict is cause for celebration and much taunting. Without the Trolls, once your Pump Wagons are gone you will need to commit four Snotlings to get a two die block on a single average Strength player, and that's only if that player is in a position that lets you surround them.
Not only do you absolutely need their Strength to give some kind of presence on the field, but the Trolls can throw the Snotlings and OH BOY is that fun! I would HIGHLY recommend you proxy the trolls, even if you have to use some Chess pieces or a rock from outside the shop to represent them. Even WITH two Trolls and everything in the box I'm pretty sure you can't hit 1000TV, so definitely make sure you know how Inducements work and always take Riotous Rookies if possible. Just out of the box you can't make a team that meets other team's standard 1000TV lists so you will need piles of Inducements to even attempt to compete. They are the worst team because they are supposed to be, they exist as a challenge for experienced coaches. The team isn't just suboptimal, it is designed as a team full of players that are a joke to the other joke teams. I haven't personally played them, but from what I understand about them you are likely not going to have a great time with them as a new player, ESPECIALLY without the Trolls.
